Der Reebok Ventilator, der sein Debut erstmals 1990 feierte und jetzt sein 25-jähriges Bestehen, kommt in Zusammenarbeit mit Sneaker Politics gleich mit zwei super geilen Farbkombinationen um die Ecke! Ihr dürft zwischen dem „Pink Lake“ Colorway Paper White/Emerald Haze und dem „3 Lakes“ Colorway Snowy Grey/Emerald Haze wählen. Und ich weiß ja nicht wie es euch geht, aber mir fällt die Entscheidung wirklich schwer! Einfach beide nehmen, auch wenn mein Konto sich da nicht sonderlich freuen wird. Zu jeder Sneaker Box gibt es noch drei Paar farbliche abgestimmte Schnürsenkel und eine fortlaufend nummerierte Postkarte.
Laut Geschäftsführer Derek Curry kommt die Inspiration zu der Farbauswahl durch geographische Gegebenheiten und die Reisefreudigkeit eines Mitarbeiters: „One of my staff takes an outrageous vacation every year. He found this spot in Western Australia, where there’s a lake that’s totally pink caused by algae. The surrounding grass is a lush emerald green, which gave us all the colours for the first shoe. Then, over in Indonesia, on top of a volcano, there are three lakes side by side. They’re almost touching yet each is a totally different colour that makes it look crazy from the aerial photos. One of the lakes is green, one’s closer to teal and then there’s a deep blue lake as well. So we placed all those amazing colours together on our second Ventilator. It’s a cool story about travelling to some really remote places!”
